Nyokki means grow in Japanese, and that's exactly what these Nyokki Grass Pets (set of 2) do! These little pet plants are adorable and original and they are hand made in Japan from glazed ceramic. They are shaped like eggs with fabric legs. Filled with a growing media and rye grass seeds, these Nyokki pets are easy to grow - seeds germinate and grass grows to full height in less than two weeks. You can style your Nyokki's "hair" or cut it and watch it grow again! Comes as a set of two matching Nyokki pets. Choose from Monkey, Chickee, Froggie, Piglet, Kitty, Bear, Snowman, Santa Claus and Gingerbread Man. Each set sold individually.

product is so cute, but shipping by wrapables was subpar... items arrived just floating around in the shipping box, very haphazard.

These are adorable, gave the set to my mom to put on her desk at school (she's a teacher). She said the kids love taking care of them and the parents have given her lots of compliments.

Christmas is not until 2 months from now, and Santa is on vacation away from the north pole =). This little Santa Nyokki is the most adorable companion I've ever had on my desk. The perfect little plant to take of. When Santa is on vacation he let's his hair down. I love watching his hair grow day by day. it's a perfect gift for someone who loves plants and cute things. i definitely recommend this to all plant lovers.

I started buying Nyokki to put in Easter baskets a few years ago but now I buy them for any time, any occasion. They are super fun for kids or adults---just sent some to some friends overseas in the military! Fun and silly, they just make you smile!

I received this as a present from a colleague at work. I watered it in the middle of the week and saw no change. I came back from the weekend and suddenly there was 1inch tall hair/grass!

It was very funny and gotten the attention of my female colleages!
